Approach

No named method. A sequence, and the discipline to stop.

We do not sell a proprietary framework, a maturity model or a diagnostic tool. What follows is the ordinary sequence a responsible operations engagement takes, written down so you can hold us to it.

  1. S1

    Framing

    Short

We agree the question before the method. What decision is waiting, who owns it, what evidence would change it, and what is already known. Where we are not the right practice for the problem, we say so at this point.

  2. S2

    Observation

    On site

Time on the floor and with the data as it exists. We work from what is observed and from the client's own records, and we distinguish clearly between measurement, estimate and assumption in everything we hand over.

  3. S3

    Analysis

    Bounded

Findings are built with the client's operations and finance leads rather than presented to them. Assumptions are listed, attributed and open to challenge. Where the evidence does not support a conclusion, the conclusion is not drawn.

  4. S4

    Implementation

    Alongside

Changes are sequenced so the first ones are reversible and observable. We work alongside the plant team rather than in parallel to it, because a change the supervisors did not build will not outlast us.

  5. S5

    Hand-over

    Planned

The management system, the measures and their definitions transfer to named owners. The exit point is agreed at the start of the engagement, not negotiated at the end of it.

Standards of evidence

How we mark what we know.

  • Measured

Observed directly or taken from a client record whose collection method we have examined. Traceable to a source you can re-check without us.

  • Estimated

A figure derived from partial evidence. Labelled as such wherever it appears, with the derivation shown and the cost of measuring it properly stated.

  • Unknown

Left explicitly blank rather than filled with a plausible number. An open question is cheaper to resolve than a buried assumption.

Boundaries

Operations advice touches decisions that are financial, contractual and sometimes regulated. We keep the line clear: we analyse operations and support the people who own those decisions. We are not licensed to provide legal, tax, accounting, investment, immigration or engineering-of-record advice, and we do not present our work as such.

We do not guarantee cost reduction, revenue, margin or productivity outcomes. Operational change depends on decisions and conditions outside any adviser's control, and a firm that promises a number before it has seen the plant is telling you something about itself.

Confidentiality terms are set in the engagement contract. Please do not send trade-secret, personnel or financially sensitive material through the enquiry form. A first message only needs enough context to establish whether we should talk.

Next

Start with the framing conversation

It is a discussion about the question, not a pitch. If the work is not ours, we will say so in that conversation rather than after a proposal.
