Accessibility
Built to be operated without a mouse.
This site is designed against the WCAG 2.2 AA principles. No external audit has been carried out, so we describe what has been done rather than claiming certification.
What has been implemented
- A skip link that is hidden until focused and moves focus to the main content region
- Semantic landmarks and a single ordered heading structure on every page
- Full keyboard operation, including the mobile navigation panel, which closes on Escape
- A visible focus indicator on every interactive element, never suppressed
- Body and interface text tested for contrast against the paper and ink palette
- Text that reflows without horizontal scrolling at 200% zoom and at narrow widths
- Reduced-motion support: transitions and entrance animation are disabled on request
- Form fields with persistent visible labels rather than placeholder-only labelling
- Diagrams given text alternatives and never used as the sole carrier of information
Known limits
Typeface files are served by a third-party font host; if that request fails the site falls back to system fonts, which changes appearance but not function. We have not tested every combination of assistive technology and browser.
